MALIGN PROLIFERATING TRICHILEMMAL TUMORS

Trichilemal cysts which occur in the scalp are frequently seen dermal lesions. A few trichilemal cysts rarely show malign proliferation. Five malign proliferating trichilemmal tumour cases were evaluated retrospectively. Despite of literature, (it was observed that) it could be seen at young population and it was not regional metastazing and distant metastazing, although it showed local aggressive character. At Treatment, mass was totally excised, regional lymph dissection was made if there were palpable lymph nodes. For the patients, who recurrent or have positive surgical margins despite the excision, radiotherapy and chemotherapy were applied.
