Granulocytic sarcoma is a rare extramedullary tumor of myeloid origin. Acute myeloid leukemia with the translocation of the chromosomes between 8 and 21 is one of the situations in which granulocytic sarcomas are reported to be more common. We report a case of acute myeloid leukemia (AML)-M2 subtype with t(8,21) who appeared with acute paraplegia and a soft tissue mass in the epidural area between T9-T12 vertebras, while the patient was in complete remission ten months after the initial diagnosis.
