CANCER CHEMOTHERAPY AND OCULAR TOXICITY

Acute and chronic side effects associated with cancer treatment have gained significance with prolonged patient survival along with recent advances in cancer treatment. Chemotherapeutic agents used in cancer treatment are frequently associated with ocular side effects that have an important impact on quality of life. Early recognition of these side effects may result in promt institution of appropriate treatment. In this review ocular side effects of various chemotherapeutic agents are presented.
